Blackened Fish Tacos Recipe

Step 1: Gather Ingredient 

1lb white fish, seasoning, oil, tortillas, cabbage, avocado, tomatoes, cilantro, lime. Optional: sour cream, salsa, hot sauce.

Step 2: Prepare the Fish  

Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels. Rub the blackening seasoning evenly over both sides of the fish fillets.

Step 3: Heat the Oil  

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it shimmers.

Step 4: Cook the Fish    

Carefully place the seasoned fish fillets in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until the fish is cooked through and easily flakes with a fork. Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the fillets.

Step 5: Warm the Tortillas  

While the fish is cooking, warm the tortillas in a separate skillet or in the microwave according to package instructions.

Step 6: Assemble the Tacos  

Once the fish is cooked, remove it from the skillet and flake it into bite-sized pieces with a fork. Divide the fish evenly among the warmed tortillas.

Step 7: Add Toppings  

Top each taco with shredded cabbage or lettuce, sliced avocado, diced tomatoes, and chopped cilantro. You can also add any additional toppings you like, such as sour cream, salsa, or hot sauce.

Step 8: Serve  

Serve the blackened fish tacos immediately with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the tacos. Enjoy your delicious homemade tacos!
