Chicken Pesto Panini Recipe

Step 1 

Gather your ingredients. You'll need cooked chicken breast slices, pesto sauce, sliced mozzarella cheese, sliced tomatoes, fresh basil leaves, and your choice of bread (ciabatta or focaccia work well).

Preheat your panini press or grill to medium-high heat.

Step 3 

Spread a generous amount of pesto sauce onto one side of each slice of bread. This will be the inner side of your panini.

Step 4 

Layer the cooked chicken breast slices onto one slice of bread. Top the chicken with slices of mozzarella cheese, followed by sliced tomatoes and fresh basil leaves.

Step 5 

Place the other slice of bread pesto-side down on top of the layered ingredients to form a sandwich.

Step 6 

Lightly brush the outer sides of the sandwich with olive oil or butter. This will help the bread toast and crisp up nicely.

Step 7 

Carefully place the sandwich onto the preheated panini press or grill. Close the lid and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Step 8 

Once the panini is cooked to your liking, carefully remove it from the panini press or grill. Allow it to cool for a minute or two before slicing it in half and serving. Enjoy your delicious chicken pesto panini!
