1. Preheat the Oven 

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This ensures that the oven is adequately heated and ready for roasting the beetroot.

2. Prepare the Beetroot 

Wash the beetroot thoroughly under cold running water to remove any dirt or debris. Trim off the leafy tops and the root ends.

3. Peel and Chop 

Peel the outer skin of the beetroot using a vegetable peeler. Then, chop the beetroot into evenly sized cubes or wedges. Aim for uniform pieces to ensure even cooking.

4. Seasoning 

Place the chopped beetroot in a mixing bowl. Drizzle olive oil over the beetroot pieces, ensuring they are evenly coated. Season with salt, pepper, and any other desired herbs or spices, such as thyme or rosemary, for added flavor.

5. Toss 

Gently toss the seasoned beetroot pieces until they are well coated with the olive oil and seasoning mixture.

6. Arrange on a Baking Sheet 

Spread the seasoned beetroot pieces in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Make sure there is enough space between each piece to allow for even roasting.

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast the beetroot for about 30-40 minutes, or until they are tender and caramelized. You can check for doneness by inserting a fork or knife into the beetroot – it should slide in easily when they are cooke
