1. Gather Your Ingredients 

For a Chipilo Cocktail, you'll need silver tequila, fresh grapefruit juice, fresh lime juice, agave nectar, ice cubes, grapefruit slices (for garnish), and optionally, salt for rimming the glass.

2. Prepare Your Glass 

If you like, rim a highball or rocks glass with salt. To do this, rub a slice of lime around the rim of the glass, then dip the rim into a plate of salt to coat it. Set the glass aside.

3. Measure Ingredients 

In a cocktail shaker, measure out 2 ounces of silver tequila. You can adjust this amount based on your preference for a stronger or milder cocktail.

4. Add Grapefruit Juice 

Pour in 3 ounces of freshly squeezed grapefruit juice into the shaker. Using fresh juice will provide the best flavor, but you can use store-bought if necessary.

5. Squeeze Lime Juice 

Squeeze the juice of half a lime (about 1/2 ounce) into the shaker. This adds a tangy brightness to the cocktail.

6. Sweeten with Agave Nectar 

Add 1/2 ounce of agave nectar to the shaker. Agave nectar provides sweetness and complements the citrus flavors of the grapefruit and lime.

7. Shake with Ice 

Fill the shaker with ice cubes, then securely attach the lid. Shake the cocktail vigorously for about 15-20 seconds to chill the ingredients and thoroughly mix them together.

8. Strain and Serve  

Using a strainer, pour the contents of the shaker into your prepared glass. If desired, garnish with a slice of grapefruit on the rim of the glass. Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing Chipilo Cocktail!
