Step 1: Marinate the Wing

In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings with a mixture of soy sauce, minced garlic, honey, grated ginger, salt, and pepper. Toss the wings until they are evenly coated with the marinade. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.

Step 2: Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Make sure the grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent the wings from sticking.

Step 3: Prepare the Honey Garlic Glaze

In a small saucepan, combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and a dash of sriracha sauce for some heat (optional). Heat the mixture over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the honey is melted and the ingredients are well combined. Set aside.

Step 4: Grill the Wing

Remove the marinated wings from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature while the grill heats up. Place the wings on the preheated grill, making sure they are evenly spaced apart. Grill the wings for about 10-12 minutes per side, or until they are cooked through and have nice grill marks.

Step 5: Baste with Glaze

During the last 5 minutes of grilling, begin basting the wings with the honey garlic glaze using a pastry brush. Continue to baste the wings every couple of minutes, allowing the glaze to caramelize and create a sticky, flavorful coating on the wings.

Step 6: Check for Donene

To ensure the wings are fully cooked, use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. It should read 165°F (75°C) when inserted into the thickest part of the wing.

Step 7: Remove from Grill and Rest

Once the wings are cooked through and glazed to perfection, carefully remove them from the grill and transfer them to a clean platter. Let the wings rest for a few minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

Serve the grilled honey garlic chicken wings hot, garnished with chopped green onions or sesame seeds for extra flavor and visual appeal. Enjoy them as a delicious appetizer or main dish alongside your favorite sides like rice or grilled vegetables.
