Simple Creamy Mushroom Pasta Recipe

Step 1: 

Cook 8oz pasta. Sauté 1lb mushrooms, 3 cloves garlic in 2 tbsp olive oil. Add 1 cup cream. Season. Serve with Parmesan & parsley.

Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water.

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they're golden brown and tender, about 5-7 minutes.

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for another minute, until fragrant.

Step 5: 

Pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly, and bring it to a gentle simmer. Let it cook for a few minutes until it thickens slightly.

Season the creamy mushroom sauce with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust the seasoning according to your preference.

Step 7: 

Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the creamy mushroom sauce. Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, you can add some of the reserved pasta water to thin it out.

Step 8: 

Once everything is heated through and well combined, remove the skillet from the heat. Serve the creamy mushroom pasta hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley if desired.
