Tequila and Mezcal Cocktail Recipe

1. Prepare Your Glass 

If desired, rim the edge of a rocks glass with salt or chili salt. To do this, rub the rim of the glass with a lime wedge, then dip it into a plate of salt or chili salt.

2. Add Ice 

Fill your rocks glass with ice. This will chill the drink and dilute it slightly as it melts.

3. Combine Tequila, Mezcal, Lime Juice, and Sweetener   

In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, mezcal, fresh lime juice, and agave nectar or simple syrup.

4. Add Ice to Shaker 

Fill the cocktail shaker with ice. This will help chill the ingredients and allow for proper mixing.

5. Shake 

Secure the lid on the cocktail shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds. This will thoroughly mix the ingredients and chill the cocktail.

6. Strain into Glass 

Using a Hawthorne strainer or a fine mesh strainer, carefully strain the cocktail into your prepared rocks glass filled with ice. This will ensure that no ice shards or pulp from the lime juice get into your drink.

7. Garnish 

Garnish the cocktail with a lime wedge. You can also add a slice of lime to the rim of the glass for extra presentation.

8. Serve and Enjoy
